Tara Brooch

Description
Aim tee shot at the tallest trees in the right centre of the fairway as you look down from the tee. From this point the green is more approachable and you have full view of any hazards in front of you. If you are taking the green on, aim for the left side as it’s the widest part.

Description
Tight driving hole demands accuracy off the tee. Favour the right of fairway for a clear second to the green. The mature oak 80 metres out leaves a tough approach.

Croppy Tree

Description
From the tee aim down the right hand side of the fairway. This opens up the gap for your approach to the green. For the longer hitters it gets very tight down the left the further you go. You will also eventually be blocked off by the trees making hitting the green far more difficult.

Cuchulain’s Grave

Description
A short par four. The biggest problem golfers have here is alignment. The tee box is aiming directly into the river so be aware of this and make the necessary adjustments.

Tuatha Dé Danaan

Description
There is a lot more green to the left hand side than you can see from the tee. There are also two bunkers, one each side of the centre of the green. You do not have full view of the bunkers from the tee. Over the back of the green is a no go area.

Royal Seat

Description
Tee shot is self-explanatory. The bigger hitters among you can blast your drive over the trees on the right and on this line can get very close to the green.

Demon of Tara

Description
The drive is through or between the gap. The bigger hitters may get through the gap and gain another twenty yards. Approach shots should be at the left hand side of the green due to the green’s slope but be aware of the bunkers on the right.

Appears as a straightforward par three but beware of a difficult sloping green.

Mystical Road

Description
The tee shot is as you see it straight through the gap. The bigger hitters from the front tee can carry the ferns on the right hand side of the gap. This makes getting home in two very possible. If you come up short of the gap the best line is to the right of the big tree in the centre of the fairway.
