Boasting of excellent facilities, the new club house was opened in 2000. It hosts a 90 seater restaurant with exceptional views of the 18th green. Al fresco dining on one of the two balconies is a treat in the summer.
Since 2005 the caterers Sam and Mary have wowed the members and visitors of this fine club. From a golfer’s grill to fresh battered scampi or a sumptuous steak, the a la carte menu covers all the options. But the regular diners to this club look forward to Sam’s enticing list of daily specials. Sam cleverly combines his classic French training with local Irish dishes and a hint of Asian influence to make up a delectable array of menu options.
Prior to coming to Royal Tara, Sam has worked in many 4 star establishments, primarily honing his cooking skills in London’s West End, he has modified his dishes and portion sizes to accommodate the golfers of Meath and surrounding counties, much to the delight of members and visitors alike.
